Roya Partovi is a Global Creative Leader with 20+ years shaping brands and creative teams worldwide. Born in Iran and raised in Germany, she holds a degree from Arts Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
Roya has led creative initiatives for iconic global brands and nimble startups alike, including BMW, Amazon, Citibank, Toyota, P&G, Cadillac, Nestlé, T-Mobile, LG, and American Express. She has held leadership roles at Saatchi & Saatchi, Havas, Publicis Groupe, and other top global agencies, consistently driving brand growth and creative excellence.
As the first Chief Creative Officer at Google Ventures-backed Aterian (formerly Mohawk Group), Roya built a world-class creative team across three continents, driving 70% portfolio and revenue growth via product innovation, branding, and tech-enabled launches. At MERGE (formerly Sandbox), she led a 90+ person creative team across five offices, overseeing all facets of the agency’s creative work for brands like T-Mobile, LG, and American Express, while co-chairing the DE&I Taskforce. Most recently, as MSL’s first Chief Creative Officer, Roya built and led a cross-functional team across eight US offices, delivering award-winning campaigns for Cadillac, Home Depot, Eli Lilly, Gilead, USB, J.M. Smucker, Campbell’s, Kellogg’s, Inspire Brands, and P&G, earning her team “2023 PRovoke Media Creative Agency of the Year” within her first year.
Roya is part of One Collective, a global network of independent marketing, communications, and creative leaders, providing high-impact, agile solutions without the overhead of traditional agencies. She also advises emerging media and entertainment ventures, and mentors women- and MENA-led startups, championing purpose-driven work and human rights advocacy.
Based in Brooklyn with her family, she continues to champion creative work that inspires teams, pushes boundaries, and drives meaningful impact.
